Sunday highlighted by new Brunch and Bingo Lane St., will have its seasonal book sale as well as holiday ornament-making. The Blissfield American Legion is hosting a cornhole tournament during the day at 451 High St., and the Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library, 407 S. Tickets for this are $15 and can be purchased at the village office. Four historical sites can be toured both Saturday and Sunday. Several other happenings Saturday include the historical home tour around Blissfield. Those attending the event must be 21 years or older. Tickets are $30 for five 6-ounce pours of beer, cider and wine. Blissfield Cheer will be in the event tent downtown, and tickets are available at the Blissfield Village Hall. and will feature live music from Mojo and the Outlaws as well as a hard cider tasting, featuring cider samples from local breweries, cideries and wineries. Carriage rides also will take people throughout the village from noon to 4 p.m.Īnother ticketed event, Yuletide Cheer, takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. A live petting zoo just outside the depot will have some of Santa’s reindeer who people can feed and pet at no cost.īlissfield High School students will provide small musical ensembles and performances from 2 to 3 p.m. Photos with Santa can also be taken during this time. he will be available to talk with children - and adults - about their Christmas wishlists. Tickets for Breakfast with Santa are available at the village office and are $12 for adults and $7 for children.Īfter breakfast, Santa will make his way over to the Depot Museum where from noon to 4 p.m. The day can be started with a meal of pancakes, sausages, eggs, fruit, potatoes, biscuits, milk, juice and coffee. Santa will partake in a community breakfast with ticket holders from 8 to 11 a.m. Whoever finds the most elves at participating businesses will be eligible for a prize, which will be drawn during Sunday’s grand prize giveaway, made possible by Blissfield American Legion Post No. Shopping continues Saturday while people also are encouraged to hunt around the downtown businesses to locate elves hiding out on shelves. People are also encouraged to stick around after the tree-lighting for community Christmas carol singing. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m., and when it ends at the mini park, Santa will assist in the lighting of the community Christmas tree.įree hot chocolate and cookies will be served after the tree-lighting and until supplies last. Toward the conclusion of Taste of Bliss is when Santa Claus makes his arrival in Blissfield via the Santa parade through downtown and ending at the Blissfield mini park along North Lane Street and across from the Blissfield Depot Museum, 105 N.
